Assistive Listening Devices
Numerous devices are available that can help hearing impaired persons be alerted to the sounds around them, such as specialized alarm clocks, smoke alarms, or doorbells. There are also amplified phones that improve the way people hear over the telephone. People who have documented hearing loss in many cases are eligible for free amplified or captioned phones. Schedule a hearing evaluatuion to find out if you qualify for these free products. Other assistive products for the hearing impaired include:

- Pocketalker® by Williams Sound – portable sound ampllifier
- Bed shaker amplified alarm clocks that wake you up with strong vibrations
- Alerting systems to be made aware of doorbells, fire alarms etc.
- Smoke alarms with strobe lights to wake you up
